Bengals coach Zac Taylor dismissed the notion that Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Steelers could be pinned on running back Joe Mixon.

Mixon was held to just 16 yards on eight carries. The lack of production came in the team's third straight defeat and first game with quarterback Jake Browning playing in place of the injured Joe Burrow, who is out for the season with a torn ligament in his right wrist.

Taylor defended his veteran running back after he was asked about his confidence level in Mixon.

"This has nothing to do with Joe Mixon," Taylor said. "This is the entirety of the unit coming together.

Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts continues to have a flair for the dramatic.

He scored four of his career-high five touchdowns after halftime in the Eagles' come-from-behind win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, including a 12-yard scoring run in overtime to end the game in walk-off fashion and send the Lincoln Financial Field crowd into a frenzy.

The offense had 75 yards to go, and Stroud had one message for his offensive line.

"If you give me a little bit of time, I will make them pay," Stroud said.

Six plays later, Stroud triumphantly fired a winning, 15-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Tank Dell to take the lead 39-37 with just six seconds left, the latest go-ahead touchdown pass in Texans team history.

Antonio Pierce said he has had "butterflies" only three times in his professional football life -- before his first game as an NFL player in 2001, before the Super Bowl he played in for the New York Giants in 2008, and on Sunday, before his first game as interim coach of the Las Vegas Raiders.

So he went back to basics.

At the beginning of the work week, hours after he was promoted from linebackers coach in the wake of Josh McDaniels' Halloween night firing, Pierce handed out blank sheets of paper to Raiders players.
